School Closing due to Ike

Due to extensive power outages in Katy and in keeping with other schools in our area, GCA will resume classes Wednesday, September 17, 2008. We are grateful to the Lord that Katy Bible Church did not sustain damage and has full power. We are also incredibly grateful that our families are unharmed and doing well in the wake of such a devasting event. Please join in prayer and action for the families impacted by Ike.

We cordially invite you to attend GCA 's Prospectve Parent Information Meeting, Monday, January 28, 2008 at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall of Katy Bible Church. The doors will open at 6:30 pm for all who would like to peruse sample materials. The meeting will address the merits of a classical Christian education and the particular offerings at Grace, K-7.

Growing Grace.
This Fall GCA is offering grades K-6. We are excited to see God's hand at work as we trust in Him for provision and wisdom as we grow. GCA is a member of the ACCS, with plans to expand to a K-12 program.

Every Tuesday morning from 9-10am, Lisa Hyde will host a weekly Hour of Prayer in her home. This gathering is to pray for our children, our families and our school as we grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord and with each other. Enriching Activities in March

GCA students were thrilled to attend the Interactive Theater's presentation on the life of George Washington Carver.
They also visited a working farm in March which is home to cattle, horses, and peacocks. In addition to a hayride and a demonstration of the haybale loader, they enjoyed a picnic lunch and grooming several miniature horses.

Christmas Play & Recitation

Grace students performed a wonderful play and recited various poems and songs they learned during the first semester. Guests were treated to a buffet of treats during the intermission. It was a truly blessed way to celebrate Christ's birth.

Grace Classical Academy has published a new website in order to communicate to the public what GCA has to offer children and parents who are committed to quality Christ-centered classical education. The website communicates an up to date school calendar, latest admission forms, and will also be a central repository for supply lists, curriculum, and classroom schedules.
